How can i format crystal report to retain data format while exporting it to PDF or HTML

While exporting crystal reports to PDF format i found some of the data on my report to be displaced and did not appear at the expected place in the PDF file. How can i work around this problem so that when i export my report to PDF or HTML my report appears exactly the same as the .rpt file.
