How to embed an image in E-mail using ASP.NET

I am developing an application where I have an e-mail message and I want to insert an image of any type(gif/jpg/jpeg) in that e-mail. I want the image to be embedded directly in the mail so that it can be displayed in its actual position before/after the text. Can anyone help me in this regard?

e.g. As we can see some sort of images shown in an e-mail message for advertisement purpose.
